The Conference of Louisiana Colleges and Universities was established for the purpose of advancing higher education in Louisiana. The organization serves as a communications medium for all institutions of higher education between those institutions and other constituents.
CLCU is comprised of representatives from Louisiana's accredited two-year and four-year colleges and universities. Included in this group are also all members of the supervising boards for each institution or system.
The annual conference is a great opportunity for networking and the sharing of ideas and concerns. CLCU members come together in the host city and have opportunities to attend affiliated group meetings, panel presentations on current educational issues, and roundtable discussions. Members often get the chance to meet together and shape policy on education issues. Several keynote speakers are featured at the conference as well.
