JoAnna Clark, a nursing instructor, will be going with Coast for Christ Baptist Ministries to Ghana on July 17 for two weeks of mission work
Coast for Christ Baptist Ministries has been taking teams to Ghana for 14 years. Their vision is to minister to the fishing community along the Ghana coast. There are approximately 500,000 people along this 200 mile stretch of coast. For the most part, these people are uneducated, diseased and poor. This ministry has built a school and provides education to 400 students. They also offer literacy training and vocational instruction in sewing, mechanics, carpentry, and masonry. There is a habitat for humanity type construction ministry. They have also built a small hospital which serves over 40,000 people in 14 villages.
The group JoAnna is going with will be assisting in all of these ministries. Her role will be to assist at the hospital and in mobile clinics in the villages. There also may be opportunities to teach health topics in the school.
Please remember Joanna and the entire Coast for Christ Baptist Ministries group in your prayers.
