The Louisiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, self-starter to implement the CF Foundation’s walk program, Great Strides, as well as other fundraising events for our New Orleans Office. The Director of Special Events will be responsible for the planning and execution of multiple walk-a-thons, including recruitment of event participant’s, volunteers, sponsors, and committee members to add to our existing support base. Other duties include: solicitation of funds from the corporate sector, management of event budgets and building relationships with CF families as well as execution of our school based program CureFinders. The Louisiana Chapter is a fast paced work environment and is looking for someone to take our walk and school programs to the next level.
Qualified candidate will have experience in non-profit fundraising or special event management, experience in marketing/sales helpful. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and proven track record of sales achievements and the ability to maximize fundraising opportunities. The position requires an outgoing personality, initiative and a "self-starter" mentality as well as the ability to juggle all facets of multiple events at the same time.
