Honors Program in Biology

Our Lady of Holy Cross College offers an Honors program in the curriculum for the Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Students are eligible based upon the following criteria:

First Time Freshmen

-Top 10% of graduating class/3.75 GPA

OR

-ACT of 29 or better/SAT of 1280 or better

Transfer or Continuing Students

-Have at least 60 hours left to complete for B.S./B.A.

-Overall 3.7 GPA on all college credit

All Honors students must complete a total of 6 courses for Honors credit. Four courses taken prior to senior year include at least two in Biology and two in Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics. During senior year, two courses must be taken in Honors research for 6 credit hours.

Honors students will graduate with a total of 18 honors credits and must have at least a 3.7 GPA. Upon graduation, transcripts and diploma will indicate Honors status.
