New Orleans CityBusiness has honored Kristine Hatfield, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Development at Our Lady of Holy Cross College, as one of its "Women of the Year" for 2008-2009. In particular, CityBusiness is honoring Ms. Hatfield for successfully leading the College's enrollment redevelopment efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. As of the Fall 2008 semester, the College's enrollment is at 1,301 students, reflecting 91% of the pre-Katrina enrollment.
Kristine C. Hatfield, M.Ed., has been a Vice President at Our Lady of Holy Cross College since 1996. She has over 15 years of higher education experience, with a large portion of that time serving in senior administration.. She has served at both private and public institutions of various sizes and some with religious affiliation. Ms. Hatfield graduated from Ohio University with a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education.
Ms. Hatfield has developed expertise in a variety of areas within higher education including residence life, career services, admissions, financial aid, retention initiatives and health services. Ms. Hatfield also has extensive expertise in the area of crisis management and accreditation processes.
She will be honored at a luncheon on November 21, 2008 at the downtown Sheraton.
