A Professional Networking Conference

Mark your calendars and come join us on Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 in the Father Basil Moreau Center to experience the first annual Crescent City Business Connection.

The conference is an invaluable opportunity for students to make contact with businesses related to their field of study. A variety of speakers will be present, including:

    - Johnathan Matessino (VP of Chase Bank)

    - Shauntele Payne (Owner of Shauntele Payne LPC, LLC)

    - Darryl Roule (Director of Alumni Relations at Rummel High Shool)

    - Don Flettrich (Regional Manager for Popeyes)

    - Blaine Kern (Owner of Mardi Gras World)

    - Ray Johnson (VP CIO of Entergy)

    - Ray Hassan (Recruiter for Harrah’s, Casino & Hotel)

    - Malcolm (American Marketing Association (AMA and Trumpet Marketing)

    - Johnny Faith (Gen. Sales Manager of Fox 8, Media and Marketing)

    - Mary Labella (CPA & Comptroller for Poydras Home)

    - Becker Hall (Corporate Finance Manager with Capital One)

The main objective of the conference is to provide students with a greater knowledge of their potential career choices and to set up networking relationships. In addition to the speakers, many vendors will have stations set up to discuss ideas and requirements for working in their specific field as well as to introduce students to professional organizations.

The speakers will start early Tuesday morning and will continue throughout the day. An updated schedule of the speakers will be posted around the campus and online when the information becomes available. Vendor stations will be set up all day, allowing students to attend in between classes and quite possibly during classes, with permission from teachers. This conference is open to all majors. Refreshments will be served.

The Crescent City Business Conference is presented by the students of the Our Lady of Holy Cross Business Communications class. For questions and concerns please contact Michael Bourgeois at mjbourgeois@olhcc.edu.
