2014 Faculty Honors

Outstanding Faculty Honors Awarded At OLHCC



NEW ORLEANS - Our Lady of Holy Cross College awarded Outstanding Faculty honors to deserving educators during its Commencement on May 18. 

Eileen Stoll, MSN, from OLHCC's Nursing Department, was named Outstanding Full-Time Faculty Member of 2014. 

Juyanne James, MA, MFA, an instructor in the English and Development Studies Departments, was honored as Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Member.  James, who began teaching English at OLHCC in 2005, has a master's degree in English from University of New Orleans and master of fine arts degree in writing from Spalding University in Louisville.  She teaches Creative Writing and developed the college's first African-American literature course.  She also teaches Introduction to College Success for the Preparing Students for Success Program and tutors in the Writing Lab.

 Her short fiction and creative nonfiction have been published widely--"The Elderberries" in the anthology New Stories from the South: the Best of 2009 and "You Don't Know Me, Child" as part of Selected Shorts Commissioned Project: 2011-and in other literary journals.
