100% of Counseling Students Pass National Licensure Exam

All of the of OLHCC graduate counseling students who took the April, 2008 National Counseling Exam (NCE), which is used for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in Louisiana, passed the examination.

In addition, the students from Our Lady of Holy Cross College surpassed the national mean for the exam. The national mean was 100.11. The mean for the Our Lady of Holy Cross College students was 116.50. There are eight sections to the test (representing the eight core courses required by CACREP, the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs). The OLHCC students scored above the national mean in seven of the sections and at the national mean on the eighth section.
