Cite an Article

Most of the databases tell you how to cite articles in two places - on the help screen and on the print screen.

The main style manuals used at OLHCC are APA, MLA, and Turabian. The latest edition of each is kept at the Library circulation desk.

You can also find information on how to cite articles in the guides for writing research papers listed below.

Search for an Item

If you want to know if an item is available at the Blaine S. Kern Library, you should search in two places.

KERNAC the Library Catalog - The entire collection of books & periodicals & a partial collection of audiovisual software can be searched through the online public access computers in the library & by remote access via the internet.

The OLHCC A-to-Z Title List is an alphabetical list of titles that can be found in the electronic databases and in the print periodicals collection (not yet complete). If you cannot find what you need, please ask a librarian for help.
