Our Lady of Holy Cross College seeks candidates for The Joe W. Brown and Dorothy Dorsett Brown, VISITING PROFESSOR IN FOOD SCIENCE (12-month appointment) OLHCC seeks an experienced practitioner and/or academician to assist with designing and launching a proposed program in FOOD SCIENCE. This groundbreaking program, based in biology in cooperation with other academic disciplines, would prepare students for a wide range of professional positions in which knowledge of food safety, nutrition and managing food operations is essential. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a terminal degree and be able to contribute to the college's academic mission, have experience in extramural fund raising and serve as an ambassador for this program during its early stages of development. The appointment could be renewed beyond one year contingent on continuing funding. The Brown Visiting Professor, working with faculty and the community, will serve as a resourceful advocate to contact and collaborate with local and regional enterprises.
