Department/Program: Nursing and Allied Health
Ms. Jackman has been a registered nurse for many years with expertise in Obstetrics and Newborn Nursing. She teaches in Fundamentals of Nursing and Nursing Care of the Childbearing Woman and Newborn. She joined the college in 1994 as a part time instructor of nursing, in 2010 she accepted a position as an Assistant Professor. She is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and is certified by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties as a Maternal Newborn Nurse. She was also recognized as one of the Great 100 Nurses by the New Orleans District Association and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Ms. Jackman is a recipient of the Endowed Professorship 1 in Nursing from Eminent Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat hospital.
