Dr. Hay was born in Tuscumbia, AL January 1, 1928. He has had a varied career in business, as a pastor of Southern Baptist Churches for 16 years, and he has done counseling and marriage and family therapy since 1952. He taught his first college level course in 1957. From 1968 to the present he has been executive director of various counseling centers and maintained a private practice in counseling and marriage and family therapy.
He began teaching at Our Lady of Holly Cross College in 1982, and co-founded the graduate counseling program in 1984. He has taught at OLHCC ever since. He has presented, led seminars, and retreats for professionals and the general public since 1957, and continues to do so today.COU 604 Practicum
