Department/Program: Nursing and Allied Health
Ms. Engolio has been a registered nurse for over eleven years. She joined the college in the fall of 2007. She was awarded the 2011 Cynthia H. Frances Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital Endowed Professorship II. At present, she is teaching with the faculty of Nursing 300, Nursing Care of Childbearing Women and Children and Nursing 203, Fundamentals of Nursing. At present, she is the coordinator of nursing lab activities and is a Co-Course Coordinator for Nursing 203.Ms. Engolio has much experience working with the pediatric populations. She holds a CPN certification as a pediatric nurse. Her CPN credentials were awarded through the national Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Her experience includes pediatric medical-surgical, pediatric intensive care, pediatric emergency room, and intermediate care of the neonates. She has over six years of experience working as a preceptor for newly employed nurses and with student nurses working on pediatric units. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, the Society of Pediatric Nurses and the American Nurses Association. She has earned a Masters in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education and Maternal Child Studies from the University of South Alabama in May, 2008.
