Department/Program: Nursing and Allied Health
Ms. DiMaggio has been a licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing since 1996. She joined the college fall of 2007. She teaches with faculty of Nursing 400 and Nursing 200 (Fall Semester) and with faculty of Nursing 308 and Nursing 402 (Spring Semester).
She completed a Preceptorship in “Palliative Care” at Ochsner Foundation Hospital through Loyola University of New Orleans. She completed the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s “Hospice Manager Development Program, Level I Designation”. She also completed the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Developmental Disabilities RN instructors Medication Administration Course. She is a recipient of the St. Louis Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Ms DiMaggio is a recipient of the Endowed Professorship I in Nursing from Eminent Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital. Ms DiMaggio is involved in several professional organizations, including: Sigma Nu (Jesuit Honor Society), American Nurses Association, New Orleans District Nurses Association, and New Orleans Association of Nurse and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Nightingale Society.B.S.N.
