Professional Experience
Professor Fischer is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and certified in Reality Therapy/Choice Theory. In addition, she has worked as a consultant to the Jefferson Parish Public School System, has worked in mental health rehabilitation programs, and worked with the Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority providing counseling support to individuals with disabilities and their families. She has developed and presented over twenty workshops and presentations for schools, community agencies, private corporations, and professional conferences.

Academic Experience
Professor Fischer has taught in the undergraduate counseling program at OLHCC as well as maintaining a private practice. Professional Associations.

George Hay

Professional Experience
Dr. Hay has 58 years experience as a counselor working with individuals, couples, families. He was pastor of Southern Baptist churches for 16 of those years. He has been a pioneer in integrating spirituality with counseling/marriage and family therapy. He has been founder and executive director of a counseling center with 5 branches. He was a co-founder of the master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at OLHCC. He is a Louisiana licensed professional counselor/supervisor and a Louisiana licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/ Supervisor. He has been on staff in several psychiatric hospitals.

Al Montgomery

Professional Experience
Professor Montgomery is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana, a board approved LPC supervisor, and a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) in the State. He maintains a private practice in counseling, and is a Senior Faculty member for the William Glasser Institute in California.

Academic Experience
Professor Montgomery has been a middle and high school principal and has taught graduate and undergraduate counseling and Behavioral Sciences courses since 1998 at Our Lady of Holy Cross College. He has previously taught at Delgado Community College as an adjunct instructor, and presented workshops on counseling, substance abuse, and parenting for the last 20 years.

Lillian Range

Lillian Range, Ph.D.

Professional Experience
Dr. Range is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Louisiana and Mississippi. Her research interests are suicide, bereavement, and health promotion. She is Associate Editor of Death Studies and editorial board member of several other scientific journals.

Academic Experience
Dr. Range, is currently a Professor of Psychology at Our Lady of Holy Cross College, and Professor Emeritus at The University of Southern Mississippi. She has 31 years of teaching experience.

Professional Associations
Dr. Range is a fellow of the American Psychological Association, and was the 2007 president of the Southeastern Psychological Association. She is a member of LPA, and the American Association of Suicidology.

Roy Salgado

Dr. Salgado is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, a board approved LPC supervisor in Louisiana, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Louisiana. He maintains a private practice in counseling in the New Orleans area.

Academic Experience
Dr. Salgado has taught both undergraduate and graduate counseling courses at Our Lady of Holy Cross College since 2006. Prior to joining the OLHCC family he was on faculty at Xavier University of Louisiana where he also taught graduate counseling courses. Dr. Salgado has six years of teaching experience.

Dr. Salgado is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the American School Counseling Association, the International Family Therapy Association, the Louisiana Counseling Association, the Louisiana School Counselor Association, the Louisiana Mental Health Counselor Association, and the Louisiana Marriage and Family Therapy Association.

She maintains a private practice in counseling in the New Orleans area, is a certified Gestalt Therapist and Associate Trainer in Neurolinguistic Programming.
