History
Harvey, LA
1998
I graduated from OLHCC in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in history. After graduation, I pursued my law degree, and currently, I work as a lawyer in New Orleans.
The research and writing skills that I was taught at OLHCC help me on a daily basis at work. Much of what attorneys do consists of writing briefs and researching the law.
Some of my favorite teachers were: HISTORY TEACHERS: Dr. Floyd Clay; Dr. Craig Bauer; Mr. Michael Roullier; ENGLISH TEACHER: Dr. Mary Doll; PHILOSOPHY/PSYCHOLOGY TEACHER: Mr. Edward Bischoff
OLHCC is a school where you receive personal treatment. You are not one of 10,000 students fighting for attention. You are one of a small number of students in each class getting attention, oftentimes from a person with a doctoral degree, not an assistant. That one-on-one interaction allows you to interact, ask better questions, and most importantly, learn.
